5 ways to get your business brand noticed
Your business brand is more than a logo or tagline—it’s your reputation. It’s what people say about your business when you’re not in the room. And, it’s one of the most important aspects of your business that you need to continuously support, reinforce, represent, and promote. While keeping your business brand positive through excellent service, products, thought leadership, ethical choices, community sponsorship, and all of the other things that any good business can do may seem daunting, keeping your business top of mind—so that all of the things your business does get remembered—is actually pretty straightforward. Although some of the first things that probably spring to mind may include advertising and participating in conferences or events—and while these are certainly important marketing activities you should consider—there are also many simple and less expensive ways to make a good impression and be remembered by your customers, prospects, partners and vendors. Here are 5 things you can do to get your business brand noticed and keep it top of mind.
  1. Hand out business cards
Although we are living in the digital era, a traditional business card still goes a long way in promoting your business brand. It’s not only a simple and effective leave-behind that provides all of your contact information in one place, but also an inexpensive way to start a conversation. Depending on your requirements and budget, you can choose to have your business cards designed and printed professionally or create a simple version yourself in-house. You can also turn your business card to a magnet or laminate it so that it has lasting durability. Southwest offers a number of business card supplies and products to help business cards look their best.
  1. Have good branded pens on hand
There’s nothing worse than a pen that doesn’t write well. But there’s nothing better for your business brand than a pen that not only writes well, but that also has your company name or logo on it. Good pens are hard to come by, so have good branded pens on hand to give out to prospects, customers, suppliers and partners at any time. Pens are also great to give away at events. At meetings and conferences, pair them with a branded notebook or pad of paper. Offer your branded pens at your place of business as well, people will often take one away with them and, in this instance, taking them without asking is just fine. They’ll be a great brand reminder once they’ve left. Southwest has great pens and other custom imprinted items and ideas to promote your business and keep it top of mind.
  1. Provide your presentations and other printed materials in custom binders and covers
Printed materials aren’t going anywhere, so take advantage of handing them out in custom printed binders or covers. Simply adding your business name or logo to binders and covers provides polish but also makes your material easy to find and identify as yours.
  1. Add value with a custom USB Flashdrive
Just because printed materials aren’t going anywhere doesn’t mean you should avoid providing information digitally as well. A custom USB allows you to save not only presentations or product literature but add other resources and content as well – such as videos – making the USB you hand out more like a tiny library of information rather than just a copy of a presentation. Imprinting the USB with your company brand or logo makes it easy to find in a pile of flashdrives and creates great business brand extension. At Southwest, we also offer customizable USB cases in both transparent plastic or custom printed cases that include a soft foam interior to house your USB.
  1. Use photobooks to promote new products or create event memories
Often we think of photobooks as the sort of thing you put together for your family barbecue or to create a book of school year memories, but photobooks are also an amazing business brand tool. Their professional appearance and weightier heft make them stand out from everyday product literature, and this makes them an excellent way to launch a new product or service. Think of the book as telling a story about your product or service and set up the pages to do just that with lots of imagery and some text. Reserve them for your top or special customers and really catch their eye. The next time you host an event or conference, consider providing the presentation and other takeaways as a photobook. Again, using the sophisticated binding as a way to provide longevity to the documents and information, but also to stand out and be memorable for your guests.
