These machines are durable and reliable, but still need to have regular maintenance performed to keep the machines running smoothly. Here are 3 tips for maintaining your Rhin-O-Tuff Power Punch:

Oil the Die
The Power Punch machines all come with removable dies so you only need one machine to be able to punch holes for multiple types of binding. How regularly you oil the dies depends on usage, however, our service team recommends oiling them at least once a month. Simply remove the die from the machine, add a thin bead of oil across the pins of your die and brush the oil over the pins. Alternatively, you can also add a small amount of oil to a cloth and the rub the oiled cloth along the punch pins of the die. Then punch some scrap paper on the machine to distribute the oil all around the pins and remove any excess oil. Make sure there is no oil on the scrap paper before punching your document. Remove Paper Waste
The paper waste bin or drawer is located at the front of these machines. Make sure to empty it frequently to avoid any paper waste getting backed up into the throat of the machine or getting into the die.

Use the Reverse Tool
If at anytime, the punch stops mid-cycle (ie yoPower Punchur paper is stuck in the machine), you can simply unjam it by turning off the machine, then use the reverse tool to disengage the die pins. After that you can turn the machine back on and it will be ready to use once again. All Rhin-O-Tuff Power Punch machines come with a simple the use unjamming tool, so no special equipment is required to fix this issue.
These machines are made in the USA using strong metal material and a black onyx finish. With some simple maintenance, these machines will last you years, if not decades.
